I have been looking at all your coments about which cat to buy. Have you considered buying a Hobie 16 with an easy rig?

This is a standard hobie 16, but it has the added benefit of having a different mainsail. The standard main is replaced by one that has loads less sail area, no boom to hit your head on, a much higher foot and a foam head to stop the boat inverting if you capsize.

You will still leave all the other boats you were thinking about, behind you in your wake!

Then, when you get the hang of it, you can revert back to the standard main and go racing!
