Your list of possibilities is very short!
Hobie 16's are everything you are expecting, but in
terms of racing take a great deal to master.
I suggest a Spitfire, a truly modern three sail twin wire
cat, a lot of boat for the money, fantastic and growing
racing circuit, fastest selling cat of 2003.
It is very manageable, with similar weight requirements
to the Hobie, and above all spectacular performance
without the banana effect!
the Hobie fleet is dominated with a youth squad that is
soon to leave to pastures new.
