sorry but to say you can't get a decent hobie under 1500 is utter shite!
fair enough if you want something to race seriuosly, as it is with all sports at the higher levels, you need to pay. but if you want soemthing for fun, an occasional club race, and more of that important FUN then you can easily find boats sub 1500.
all i'd say is that you must look at as many boats as poss, there are some real rip offs out there and there are some real gems.
i spent 3 or 4 months looking, saw about 10 boats, bought one for 850quid (with a virtually new road trailor). it don't look pretty but it sails just fine! |
