Buying a sixteen

I have been abroard for a while, and am considering
buying a Hobie 16, having caught the catamaran bug
overseas.
I can afford a new boat, but am concerned at the glut of
second hand boats advertised, and their low prices. Is
the fleet still active, or are people leaving, and boats
losing their value instantly?
I am not keen on a second hand boat, as they always
seem very sloppy.
Someone persuade me the Hobie is the way to go.

Buy a Spitfire,
It seems that a lot of the fleet are abandoning the
Hobies and buying them .They look like loads of fun,
and if you dont have a budget problem........
I am saving up myself, as you can now get them in
Spain, I think.
