To quote Gavin Colby,"usually the guys that knock the hobie 16 are guys that have tried to race it and did not sail it properly"
I have raced and sailed the 16 off an on for 20+ years.It is like the Laser,easy to sail but requires lots of experience and skill to sail properly.
Both the 16 and laser are great boats(under proper helmsmanship)
I would suggest if you are spending most of your time upside down,to get to one of those sail trainning days and learn to sail it properly |
