Sounds like your downhaul cleat has slipped up the track. hobie sails stretch but not by that much!!! Correct this by losening the screws, moving the cleat back down and tightening the screws back up. Also you can tie some thin rope around the cleat and around the tooth on the base of the mast to hold it down. Also you could saw a grove in the track just above the cleat and hammering the track flat to stop it moving up. Hope this helps.
