Potential New Entrant asks Naive Questions

I've been sailing for 20+ years nearly exclusively in monohuls & more recently in cruising yachts, but I'm contemplating getting into cats & have found your site.

I'll get in contact with Hobie Cat Centre for a glossy brochure, but would like some grass routes advice.

I'm based in West Yorkshire, are there any fleets locally ?

If the answer to the above is no, I think I may well end up handicap racing locally & going down to the sea occasionally.

Very basically, what should I be looking to spend for an entry level / club racing boat & what weaknesses should I look out for when purchasing (second hand ofcourse) ?

Thanks
